Well… That didn’t take long.
Late last night, Fox’s Shannon Bream broke the news that the network’s Manhattan headquarters Christmas tree was up in flames. The suspected arsonist, Craig Tamanahae, was quickly apprehended and arrested, with reports indicating that he’s a 49-year-old homeless man with a last known address of Brooklyn. New York law enforcement officials have noted that Tamanahae’s motive for setting the Fox News Christmas tree ablaze is still unknown.
But, despite the fact that they literally had the suspected culprit in custody within a matter of hours, and absolutely nothing has indicated a politically driven motive in any way, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade, in all his obnoxious glory, is already trying to bury the city’s “Left-wing” officials in the blame for the bizarre disaster.
The Fox & Friends panel of course covered the Christmas tree fiasco on their segment this morning, with Kilmeade calling it beyond tragic and angers everybody,” and co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt and Steve Doocy respectively saying “so sad” and “what kind of a person lights a Christmas tree on fire?”

Earhardt went on to seemingly sarcastically invoke some borrowed words from President Joe Biden when she declared, “we are going to rebuild [the tree] and we are going to build it back better.” The panel proceeded to salute the emergency services who responded to the chaos as Ainsley continued to whine, “someone did this to spoil our Christmas, but that’s not going to happen. This scrooge is not going to get away with it.”
Earlier in the segment, Kilmeade had labeled the Fox Christmas tree arsonist a “psycho,” but it didn’t take him long to change gears, pulling the blame from the actual person who set the damn tree on fire, and instead began to rant, “this is part of the bigger problem, it’s the crime surge in this country.”
“This is emblematic of the cities out of control, defame and defund the police, and this bail reform that has these men and women, these assailants, these suspects out before they even can finish off the paperwork,” Kilmeade groaned, like the true, blue Republican victim he is. “This is what you get if you have these left-wing DAs and officials running these major cities. You get chaos.”
It was a homeless man, Brian. But go off.
