Let’s be honest, Fox News Network doesn’t have a reputation for being, well, honest. Frankly, their shows are pretty notorious for being full of more bullshit than a field full of cows. But today, one Fox host stuck her foot in her mouth in the most obvious kind of way when she falsely announced the resignation of a Biden administration official, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, during an interview with former President Donald Trump.
“I want to get to this because it’s just happened now,” Fox News host Harris Faulkner announced to Trump. “The DHS secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, has resigned, Mr. President.”
“Well, I’m not surprised,” the former president responded to the false announcement. “Good. That’s a big victory for our country.”
But the “good news” was short-lived as Faulkner almost immediately began to backpedal, saying, “Let’s me stop. Let me listen to my team one more time. Forgive me. That has not happened. But I apologize.”

“You called for that though,” the Fox host said as she tried to recuperate. “And you were just talking about him, just to clarify, as somebody who is not competent to handle what’s going on. So let me clean up on aisle seven with my error. He has not resigned. Let me move to what you were calling for and others too, for him to move out of the way and get somebody who can do the job. Your thoughts?”
“Well, I think that will eventually happen,” Trump responded.
It seems that it was just some bad information coming from higher up the chain that caused Faulkner’s massive mess up. However, it just goes to serve as even further proof that Fox News has never and will never actually have their shit straight.
