Fox News host Brian Kilmeade has floated the notion that politics is the reason U.S. officials haven’t done more with a drug that might work as a treatment for the coronavirus outbreak that has brought the world to a standstill. He talks to guys like Dr. Mehmet Oz for information on the massive pandemic, but on Friday, Kilmeade spoke with the nation’s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Right off the bat, we’re going to say that Fox News is complicit in this nightmare we’ve all found ourselves suddenly living through as the network downplayed the potentially deadly coronavirus in which over six thousand Americans have died. During the daily briefings that have turned into MAGA rallies, the only light shining through comes to us with a name: Dr. Fauci. Truth, not politics and bullshit, is what we need to hear, so Kilmeade got Fauci’d this morning.

We’re not sure where Kilmeade is getting his “72 percent of doctors in Spain are prescribing it” from, but OK. The Fox News host might be getting his numbers that came from an initial study in China regarding hydroxychloroquine, a drug that Dr. Donald Trump has floated to ward off the disease.
As Dr. Fauci said, we don’t care what 75 percent “thinks” works. Kilmeade tried to clarify his comment, and Fauci just said, “OK, that’s fine.”
To become a doctor, medical students must take the Hippocratic Oath. And one of the promises within that oath is “first, do no harm.” It appears that Dr. Fauci is standing by that vow. Our country’s top infectious disease expert is saving Fox News viewers from the dangerous network’s unproven claims.
Last week, Kilmeade said that Trump has some “truly remarkable people in assisting him” with the pandemic, but then yesterday, Trump marched his inexperienced son-in-law, Jared Kushner, out to the podium, who suggested that the stockpiles of direly-needed supplies the country’s governors were requesting to help with the coronavirus pandemic weren’t actually meant for the states.
Dude.
