It seems that the drama surrounding Tucker Carlson’s unceremonious booting from the Fox News Network is kicking up this week, and the ultra-Conservative and highly scandal-ridden Network really isn’t here for it.
On Wednesday of this week, The Drudge Report — a U.S.-based, fringe, ultra Right-wing news aggregation website founded by Matt Drudge — released a drama-inducing report foreshadowing a massive shake-up within the Fox News Network. At first, the Drudge headline ominously read, “WORLD EXCLUSIVE: FOXNEWS SETS NEW SCHEDULE.” That headline sat and stewed for a while before the website eventually updated to claim that Sean Hannity would be replacing the recently ousted Tucker Carlson at 8 pm. The Drudge Report further claimed that both Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld would be catapulting into their own prime time slots.
Mediaite notes, “Watters currently hosts one of Fox’s top-rated shows at 7 p.m. while Gutfeld hosts a highly-rated late-night show at 11 p.m. — both co-host Fox’s top-rated program The Five at 5 p.m. Hannity, meanwhile, broke the record for longest-running cable news prime time host in April of 2022, eclipsing Larry King at 25 years, six months, and 15 days.”
The Right-wing aggregation website dramatically reported yesterday, “FOXNEWS is preparing to announce an ambitious new schedule, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, a schedule where ever hour of primetime will change! TOP SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE: IT’S OUR BOLDEST AND MOST FEARLESS LINE-UP EVER’…”

Already, it seems the controversial, scandal-ridden network isn’t responding well to the drama being kicked up surrounding their network segments, as they continue to reel from the massive Dominion defamation lawsuit that effectively bombed their finances.
A Fox News spokesperson spoke with Mediaite following the Drudge Report drama, stating matter of factly:
No decision has been made on a new primetime line-up and there are multiple scenarios under consideration.”
I suppose we’ll see how this shake-up shakes out in the end.
