Former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks has had a rather rocky road in regard to her employment within the Trump administration.
Hicks was one of the very first members to join Donald’s team back in 2016, originally serving as Trump’s press secretary before switching over to the job title of Communications Director. However, her position met an early, forced demise when she resigned from her job early in 2018 after it was revealed that Hicks’s boyfriend, Staff Secretary Rob Porter, had been accused of physically abusing not one, but two of his ex-wives, Colbie Holderness and Jennifer Willoughby.
But it seems that Donald’s former right-hand gal is weaseling her way back into his good graces almost two years after the scandal broke.
ABC News was the first to report on Hope’s return to the White House as an official employee, claiming that Hicks would be sharing the official job title of counselor to the president with Kellyanne Conway.

Trump’s eldest and favorite daughter, Ivanka, took to her Twitter account to confirm the news of Hicks’s return and revealed that the former White House employee would now be serving under and reporting to her husband, Jared Kushner.
“Welcome back Hope!” Ivanka captioned a retweet from NYT White House correspondent, Maggie Haberman announcing the news.

After leaving her position at the White House in the wake of her boyfriend’s abuse scandal, Hicks relocated to Los Angeles where she served as head of the communications department of the Fox Corporation.
Hicks, who formerly worked as a model, landed the gig under Donald Trump purely as a result of her connection to Trump’s daughter Ivanka, with no prior experience in the field, as with many of Trump’s employees.
I’m sure it’s only a matter of time at this point before another scandal breaks and Hope finds herself out the door once again.
