According to a stomach-churning new report from The Daily Beast, disgraced ex-president Donald Trump has privately expressed deep regret for not lowering the White House flag to half-mast for Ashli Babbitt, a rioter who was slain by an unidentified police officer during the infamous January 6th Capitol attack.

An anonymous source with knowledge on the subject spoke with the Beast and revealed that the former guy has privately complained about the fact that he didn’t choose to lower the flag at the time of Babbitt’s death. According to the report, Donald Trump has made the private complaints as recently as two weeks ago.

Babbitt, who was a veteran of the United States Air Force, was shot and killed by an unnamed police officer as she tried to breach the Capitol building with other supporters of the now ex-president’s during that fateful day earlier this year when thousands of Trump’s base stormed the sacred building in a last-ditch attempt to stop Congress from certifying the Electoral College votes in favor of now-President Joe Biden.

According to the unnamed, inside source who spoke with The Daily Beast, Trump feels as though he should have ordered the White House flags half-mast in Babbitt’s honor, due to her service in the United States military.

In the heels of Babbitt’s death, it was discovered that the Air Force veteran turned Capitol rioter was a regular supporter of conspiracy theories in support of Donald Trump and the QAnon movement on her social media pages.

Trump did lower the White House flags to half-mast in honor of the Capitol police officer who lost his life in the January 6th attack, but only after heavy pressure from lawmakers to do so, according to reports.
