Intelligence Agencies Saw Coronavirus Coming But Stayed Quiet Because They Didn’t Want To Upset Trump

This all could have been avoided!

Every time you start to think it’s close to its fever-pitch, that it couldn’t possibly get much worse from here, this whole coronavirus ordeal reaches a new level of insane.

According to a report from NBC News, United States intelligence agencies tried their best to warn the government and the public of the very real possibility of an impending pandemic — just exactly like the deadly coronavirus has become — for quite some time now but began to back down in recent months due to fear of Donald Trump’s inevitable anger should they continue to proceed.

Back in 2017 and 2018, intelligence analysts determined that an imminent global pandemic could very well be on its way to cause a significant strain on resources as well as cause noticeable harm to the global economy. However, they ultimately agreed to hold off on a public statement regarding this very real possibility as they were cautious of releasing information that would ultimately cause a vile outburst from the president, according to NBC News who spoke with officials.

The most up-to-date worldwide threat assessment, issued by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, was back in 2019 and read, “We assess that the United States and the world will remain vulnerable to the next flu pandemic or large-scale outbreak of a contagious disease that could lead to massive rates of death and disability, severely affect the world economy, strain international resources, and increase calls on the United States for support.”

However, intelligence officials are keeping their assessment close to their vests this year due to Trump’s childish behavior, ultimately hindering Congress from procuring public testimony regarding economic and national security implications as a result of the deadly coronavirus outbreak.

The last public report featured a warning about animal-to-human transmission, just as COVID-19 is believed to have originated in a Wuhan wet market, and even made a specific mention of a close cousin to the coronavirus strain that is now infecting and killing thousands worldwide.

Long story short, it sounds as though a good portion of this fatal outbreak could have been avoided if only intelligence officials didn’t have to worry about the president behaving like a toddler.
