Is Trump Wearing A Wig? Internet Thinks His Hair Has ‘A Lot More Volume’

America's weirdest makeover

Speaking at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa, Trump appeared with hair noticeably fuller and glossier than it had looked just days earlier. Journalist Aaron Rupar, watching footage from the event, posted the observation that kicked things off: “Trump’s hair, uh, has a lot more volume than normal.”

Minutes later he followed up with the question everyone was already asking: “Is Trump rocking a wig, or what the hell is going on here?”

The sequence of events made the shift a little tricky to wave away.

Sunday, boarding Air Force One in New Jersey, the wind had caught Trump’s hair on camera and pulled back more of his scalp than usual. By Tuesday’s Fox News appearance, his hair looked notably different in color than it had at a Cabinet meeting the previous Friday. Wednesday added a third version in Vegas, fuller, glossier, and strawberry blond in a way that didn’t quite match either prior look.

That much visual evidence gave the internet plenty to run with.

Even the pro-Trump account MAGA Voice weighed in, though from the opposite angle: “I do NOT care what anyone says. This is proof that President Trump is aging in reverse. His hair looks absolutely amazing today.”

There’s a documented history behind all this.

A London hairstylist, Gustav Fouche, previously explained to the Daily Mail that the occasional pink tint in Trump’s hair likely comes from toning products used to counteract yellow in blonde hair, adding that “if too much violet is used or it’s left on slightly too long, it can shift the color and make the hair appear pinkish rather than cool or neutral.”

Separately, the Haberman and Swan book Regime Change revealed that longtime aide Walt Nauta, formally titled director of Oval Office operations, carries scissors among his standard kit specifically so Trump can trim his own hair when it gets too long in the back. Former press secretary Stephanie Grisham wrote in her memoir that Trump has been known to cut it himself using “a huge pair of scissors that could probably cut a ribbon at an opening of one of his properties.”

None of that settled anything by the time Trump took the stage Wednesday.

He spent much of his 70-minute speech on taxes and his usual list of grievances, at one point defending his ongoing construction projects at the White House by saying: “Everything I do, they get sued, but I win the suits. I think I’ve been sued more times than any human being in history.”
