Already highly controversial Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is under brutal fire as we speak, after breaking reports have now revealed that Thomas utilized the “shadow docket” today to temporarily block a subpoena issued against South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham by the Fulton County Georgia Attorney General’s office, in connection to their Grand Jury investigation into Donald Trump and his allies’ attempt to overthrow the 2020 presidential election results in the state.

Just last week, Graham was handed one of his most brutal losses yet, after the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit ruled that the Trump-sycophantic lawmaker must testify before the Fulton County Grand Jury in relation to phone calls he made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, seemingly on Donald Trump’s behalf, allegedly calling on the state official to reject absentee ballots in an effort to turn the state of GA back in Trump’s favor, following his presidential election loss.

Lindsey Graham has been absolutely desperate to weasel his way out of said subpoena since the moment it was issued. And while the appeals court was quick to shoot him down, it seems Clarence Thomas has wasted no time in doing the senator’s dirty work for him — at the further expense of his own already shattered reputation.

The Hill’s John Kruzel reports that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who is responsible for any emergency applications that are issued out of the federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, utilized the “shadow docket” to “unilaterally” block the subpoena issued against Lindsey Graham by the Fulton County District Attorney.

Thomas’ order reads:

IT IS ORDERED that the August 15, 2022 order of the United States, District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, case No. 1:22-CV-03027, as modified by the district court’s September 1, 2022 order, is hereby stayed pending further order of the undersigned or of the Court.”

Further action is expected on the case in the very near future, as the court has requested that all parties involved provide additional responses by no later than Thursday.
