This isn't a fight Lindsey Graham is going to win.

South Carolina Senator and devout MAGA sycophant Lindsey Graham has spent the last several weeks fighting tooth and nail against a subpoena issued against him by a Fulton County, Georgia, grand jury after the Republican lawmaker was implicated in the state’s investigation into Donald Trump and other Republican’s attempt to overthrow the result of the 2020 presidential election in GA.

But it’s a fight that Lindsey Graham is losing.

As soon as Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis issued the subpoena for his testimony, Graham tucked tail and ran to court to try to have the summons quashed under the notion that his actions surrounding the 2020 election were taken as part of his official capacity as a United States member of Congress. Judge Leigh Martin May heard the case and ruled that the questioning would go forward, but did implement limits on what investigators could question the US GOP senator about.

Apparently, this ruling wasn’t enough to satisfy Graham, as he responded by appealing to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, where he requested a temporary stay to delay the grand jury subpoena. The three-judge panel of the court didn’t bite, ultimately handing down a unanimous ruling against the Republican lawmaker and his desperate appeal yesterday — meaning that Senator Lindsey Graham will be forced to testify in adherence to the subpoena.

In their ruling, the Appeals Court wrote, “Senator Graham has failed to demonstrate that he is likely to succeed on the merits of his appeal.”

As if that weren’t bad enough news for the GOP lawmaker, the three-judge panel with the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals also went a step further and lifted Judge May’s previous ruling that limited the scope of questioning that investigators could pose to Graham.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has confirmed that she hopes to question Senator Graham about two specific phone calls the lawmaker conducted with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and staff as part of now ex-President Donald Trump’s pressure campaign to “find the votes” Trump needed in the state of Georgia to overturn Joe Biden’s election win in the state.
