Yesterday, news broke that Donald Trump’s youngest son, the only child he shares with his current wife Melania, was chosen to serve as an at-large delegate for the Florida Republican Party — firmly planted on his corrupt and disgraced father’s side of history.
NBC News was the first to confirm that Barron, who has remained largely shielded from the public spotlight by his highly protective mother Melania up to this point, was chosen by the Republican Party of Florida on Wednesday night as one of the state’s at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention. NBC verified this development after obtaining a list of delegates.
Barron, who just turned 18 in March and will graduate high school next week, has maintained a far more private life than his half-siblings. He was slated to join the ranks of his brothers Don Jr. and Eric, as well as his sister Tiffany, as Florida at-large RNC delegates — leaving the Trump family with a disturbing stronghold on Florida’s RNC delegation.
However, it seems someone has pulled the plug on that big plan.
The Daily Mail broke reporting yesterday that confirmed Donald’s youngest son has formally declined the offer to serve as an RNC delegate in the state of Florida.

Weirdly enough, the official statement was released through the teen’s mother’s office.
“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments,” former first lady Melania Trump’s office said in a statement.
Of course, there has been no verification thus far as to what inspired this sudden decision. However, as noted by several people across social media, it reeks of Melania’s strong hand in things.
Former federal prosecutor Ron Filipkowski posted a screenshot of the Daily Mail article on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the caption: “Correction: Nobody told Melania and when she found out she said hell no because she knows exactly what that means if he is going to become a political figure.”
