It Seems Trump Has Forgotten He’s Not The President Yet Again, As Reports Claim His New Social Media Platform Is Scheduled To Launch On Presidents’ Day

You can't make this stuff up.

According to multiple reports citing the latest Apple App Store listing, former President Donald Trump’s new social media platform Truth Social is set to launch on Presidents’ Day, Feb. 21. There is just too much irony in that. First, a serial liar is calling his social media platform Truth Social, and according to its terms of service, you are not allowed to criticize the twice-impeached one-term President or the platform on the ‘free speech’ site. And then the man that hasn’t conceded the race he lost to Joe Biden in the electoral and popular vote over one year ago is launching it on Presidents’ Day.

Truth Social is Trump Media & Technology Group’s alternative to Twitter, where Trump is permanently suspended after the former President incited the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection, according to The Guardian.

Similar to Twitter, the app offers features to follow other people and trending topics, and according to the New York Post, Truth Social users can share their “unique opinion by posting a TRUTH, Re-TRUTH, photo, news story or video link to communicate with your friends, customers, and the world.”

“Stay informed about breaking news while staying directly connected with the people who influence you – don’t be shocked if they take your TRUTH viral!” the listing reportedly reads.

Trump’s social media venture comes a year after the former President was deplatformed from major social media sites for encouraging his supporters to storm the U.S. Capitol, where they tried to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s 2020 election win. Trump has continued to rant about his ban, never once taking responsibility for his actions that led to him being deplatformed. He’s truly good at pulling out the victim card.

I’m sure Truth Social will go the way of Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage, Trump: The Game, Trump Magazine, Trump University, Trump Ice, The New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trumped!, Trump Taj Mahal, Trump’s Castle, Trump Plaza Casinos, Trump Plaza Hotel, Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts, Trump Entertainment Resorts, Trump Model Management, Trump’s blog, the Trump Presidency,  and of course, the Trump insurrection.
