It’s All Crashing Down Around Trump As His Former VP Mike Pence Just Confirmed He Would “Consider” Testifying Before The J6 House Select Committee In Their Investigation Against His Ex-Boss

Just when Donald thought it couldn't get worse.

In a twist of fate for an already scandal-ridden and deeply vulnerable Donald Trump, his own former Vice President Mike Pence spoke out today and effectively served a brutal gut punch to his former boss that he’s been feuding with since the 2020 election.

Making an appearance this morning at the Politics & Eggs breakfast at New Hampshire’s Saint Anselm College, the former right-hand man to the president took several questions from both the audience, as well as the President and Chief Executive Officer of The New England Council, James Brett. In the course of those questions, following his speech, Pence publicly confirmed that, should the January 6th House Select Committee extend the “invitation” to him, he would “consider” giving his sworn testimony before the panel that is conducting an investigation into his former boss’ role in inciting the deadly violence that took place at the US Capitol.

Pence did note that he would have to weigh whether or not appearing for an interview with the Committee would go against his continued oath to uphold the US Constitution.

“January 6, if they were to call you to come and testify, talk, would you be agreeable?” Brett questioned the former VP during the Q&A portion of the event that followed Pence’s speech.

“Well, I would…” Pence answered before adding, “If there was an invitation to participate, I would consider it. But you’ve heard me mention the Constitution a few times this morning.”

The former vice president went on to elaborate:

In the Constitution, we have three co-equal branches of government. And any invitation to be directed to me, I would have to reflect on the unique role that I was serving in as vice president. Um, it’d be unprecedented in history for a vice president to be summoned to testify on Capitol Hill.

But as I said, I don’t want to prejudge. If there’s ever any formal invitation rendered to us, we’d give it due consideration.

But my first obligation is to continue to uphold my oath. Continue to uphold the framework of government enshrined in the Constitution that has created the greatest nation in the history of the world. We’ll do that, and we’ll do that.”

I do hope the House Select Committee is listening. I don’t doubt that Pence may secretly be itching to tell all the former president’s secrets, given the opportunity.
