Ivanka Reportedly Cut A Deal With The New York AG And We Wonder If It Signals A Crumbling Relationship With Her Father

I believe there is more trouble in "paradise" than they're letting on.

Not long ago, we reported on the news that former First Daughter and perceived Trump favorite, Ivanka Trump, had raised suspicions and alarm after trying to obtain an exemption for herself with regard to a recent order delivered by a judge to implement a court-appointed monitor to supervise and track her financial activity in connection to the mounting criminal investigation into the Trump Organization and its alleged financial and tax-related crimes — leading to suspicions that the former first daughter may have been planning to wrongfully shift assets around as the Trump family faces law enforcement action in the case.

At the time of the original reporting on the matter, the former first and eldest Trump daughter had not been successful in her attempt to worm her way out from underneath the financial microscope in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ massive $250 million lawsuit against the Trump Organization.

However, in the days since that reporting, Ivanka Trump has now found success in cutting a deal with the New York Attorney General’s office to exempt herself from the watchful eye of a court-ordered financial monitor who’s been put into place to prevent the Trump family company, which was recently finally found criminally guilty on multiple charges of fraud, from reorganizing their assets in an effort to skirt and avoid the lawsuit.

In their November 7th appeal to the financial monitoring order, Ivanka Trump’s attorneys wrote, “Ms. Trump has had no involvement for more than five years. Ms. Trump has had no role as an officer, director, or employee of the Trump Organization or any of its affiliates since at least January 2017.”

It was yet another seemingly clear attempt from Ivanka to further distance herself from her increasingly scandal-ridden father.

At the end of the day, Ivanka was successful in doing just that.

In a December 5th modification to the preliminary injunction order, Attorney General James wrote:

The term ‘defendants’ or ‘Defendants’ as used in the Preliminary Injunction Order and all subsequent and supplemental orders related to the Preliminary Injunction Order, including the Monitorship Order and Supplemental Monitorship Order, excludes Ivanka Trump.”

Further in accordance with the deal struck with the New York Attorney General, Ivanka has agreed to drop her appeal of the injunction:

Ivanka Trump’s lawyers privately wrote to the judge last month to request a special exemption.’ Attorneys for the former White House employee argued that she shouldn’t be caught up in the investigation, because she lacked an official role at the Trump Organization,’ according to The Daily Beast.

‘Ms. Trump has had no involvement for more than five years… Ms. Trump has had no role as an officer, director, or employee of the Trump Organization or any of its affiliates since at least January 2017,’ her lawyers wrote in an appeal filed on November 7th.”

This new move on Ivanka’s part is certainly signaling a deeper break with her highly-controversial, scandal-ridden father than I think anyone originally realized. This news comes on the heels of Ivanka’s bombshell decision to completely separate herself and her family from Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, after she refused to even show up to his announcement event.
