Right-wing protesters are currently storming state capitals across the country while carrying firearms and demanding an end to measures preventing the further spread of coronavirus. And Ivanka Trump thinks the protests are “beautiful.”
These protests, which have been encouraged by President Donald Trump, are an attempt to force states to re-open for business early as Trump has been demanding. Some red states are already doing so despite the great risk of triggering a deadly second wave of the virus.
In addition to being armed, these protesters are blocking streets and entrances to hospitals to prevent essential medical personnel and patients from getting where they need to go. They also have complete disregard for social distancing and don’t care about Americans who are at risk of contracting and dying from the virus, referring to them as “weak” like this participant did in Tennessee calling to sacrifice them for the economy.

Apparently, Ivanka thinks such armed protests are “beautiful.”
Peaceful protest & freedom of assembly are beautiful American traditions that should always be protected.

Peaceful protesters don’t carry guns. And they certainly don’t call for sacrificing American lives so they can get a haircut or get their nails done. These protesters also aren’t practicing social distancing and only some are actually wearing masks.

Just beautiful, when they’re armed to the teeth and carrying signs that say “Sacrifice the Weak.”

So far, more than 45,000 Americans are dead and over 800,000 are infected by this virus. Ivanka should think about them. But her praise of these protests proves that she never cared about public health at all.
