The parents of the teenager accused in this week’s deadly Michigan high school shooting pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges on Saturday morning, hours after a search ended when authorities arrested the couple in a Detroit warehouse. Even though the attorney for the Crumbleys’ lawyers said on Friday that the couple would be returning to the area to be arraigned on the charges, it appears that they were on the run. The parents landed in the same jail that’s holding their son, Ethan.
The mother of one of James Crumbley’s children just came out and called him a piece of shit — or perhaps she said a “piece of crap.” According to WXYZ News, Michelle Cobb said of her ex-boyfriend and the father o,f her 18-year-old son, “He’s a piece of (expletive). He really is.”
Cobb went on to say that Crumbley left their son and a daughter that he had with another woman in Florida when he moved out of state with Jennifer Crumbley. And apparently, he wasn’t exactly happy about paying child support even though he made a six-figure income.
She told the outlet said that she and the mother of Crumbley’s now 24-year-old daughter chose to have a friendship for the sake of the children. However, with Jimmy (James) and Jennifer, there was no friendship as the couple always looked for ways to criticize and complain about her because they hated that he had to pay $67 per week for child support for his son, Eli.

“I cried the moment he turned 18 because, I thought, all of this hell is over as far as dealing with my son’s father,” Cobb said.
Cobb described Jennifer Crumbley as the one who was running the show and said that she made it difficult for Eli to get closer to his father and half-brother Ethan.
“Jennifer was a monster,” Cobb said. “She could do no wrong and she was right about everything. I mean, this is exactly the kind of attitude she has. Like, she, literally, thought she was better than everyone.”
On an Instagram post of Jennifer’s, it shows a picture of a handgun displayed in an open case, reading: “Mom & son day testing out his new Xmas present. My first time shooting a 9mm I hit the bullseye.”
“They pretty much gave him whatever he wanted,” she said, adding, “Why would you let a 15-year-old have access, especially knowing that just a few days prior that he was having problems at school?”
“The first thing that came to my mind when all of this happened was how thankful that I was that my son was not there,” she said.

In an open letter to then-president-elect Donald Trump, Jennifer Crumbley thanks the former reality show for “my right to bear arms” even though Trump had nothing to do with the Second Amendment being ratified in 1791. The gun was purchased by his father just four days before the attack. In total, Ethan Crumbley faces 24 different counts as an adult.
