Jan. 6th Committee Reportedly Set To Subpoena Don Jr.’s Girlfriend Kim Guilfoyle After She And Her Lawyers Cut Off Her Voluntary Testimony Because Of A “Tense Confrontation”

You can do it the easy way or the hard way, Kim!

Just a few hours ago, we reported that Don Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, all but completely bailed on the voluntary testimony she was set to give before the January 6th House Select Committee today, after she and her attorneys cut the interview way short due to their alleged concerns over the panel’s “ground rules.”

CBS News journalist Robert Costa reported that “A tense confrontation between the House select committee and Kimberly Guilfoyle unfolded privately on Friday morning.”

Citing four people familiar with the matter, Costa wrote on Twitter that Guilfoyle “said she would cease to continue the conversation until her lawyers had further discussions with the committee about the format.”

Her problem, apparently, was that lawmakers on the House Select Committee, including Rep. Adam Schiff of California and Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, were in on this morning’s virtual meeting where she was set to testify, rather than just lawyers and committee staff as Kim and her legal team evidently expected.

According to Costa’s reporting, the sources familiar with the ordeal said Kim was “outraged.”

But outrage or no outrage, the House Select Committee is already letting Kimberly know that if she doesn’t want to do this the easy way, they’re happy to move forward with the hard way.

According to a new report from CNN, the January 6th House Select Committee is now subpoenaing Donald Trump Jr’s fiance, because she “has information of interest to the Select Committee and has provided documents germane to our investigation.”

A committee spokesperson told CNN that Kimberly’s decision to abruptly cut off her interview this morning to deliver her voluntary testimony is what ultimately forced the panel’s hand to issue a subpoena against Guilfoyle to legally compel her testimony for once and for all.

“The Select Committee had hoped she would do as dozens of other witnesses have done: participate in a voluntary transcribed interview with staff and committee members,” the spokesperson explained. “Ms. Guilfoyle has now declined to do so, forcing the Select Committee to compel her testimony at an upcoming deposition.”

Kimberly has been already found herself under the microscope for some time now after she was busted for the large role she played in fundraising for the Trump campaign and more specifically the “Stop the Steal” rally that took place on January 6th just hours before the infamous Capitol attack, which many believe played a big part in leading to the insurrection. Kimberly also personally spoke at the rally, stating to the crowd, “We will not allow the liberals and the Democrats to steal our dream or steal our elections.”

Hardball it is, I guess. You really should have just answered their questions.
