JD Vance Makes A Jaw-Dropping Revelation, Says Trump Consulted His Mar-a-Lago Gardener Before Choosing VP

This is quite the revelation.

No one should be surprised by anything J.D. Vance or Donald Trump says, and yet, there’s this. Which is a whole new sort of weird. According to Vance, Trump sought advice from a gardener at Mar-a-Lago to help him decide who his running mate should be.

I have no idea why he asked the gardener about this, but Trump regularly does oddball things, so really, what’s new here?

Vance revealed this during a Michigan rally when someone asked how he would handle disagreements with Trump, according to Raw Story.

“You know, it’s funny, when the president, the only conversation that he and I ever had about whether I might become his vice presidential nominee was the Saturday before the convention,” Vance explained. “And you know what the president told me? He said that he talked to everybody about who his vice presidential nominee should be.”

It seems to me that an effective president needs to make his own decisions quickly. He might rely on a little feedback from others, but he should already have opinions about whom he wishes to choose. This isn’t a subject to be wishy-washy over.

But Vance thinks it’s just dandy that Trump has trouble making up his mind.

“And I think that’s one of the great things, is he’s willing to take feedback,” he continued. “And he even said that he was talking to the Mar-a-Lago gardener about the vice presidential nominee should be.”

I’m not really sure Vance should be flattered about that. There’s nothing really wrong about asking the gardener about vice presidential choices, but the fact that he was having that much trouble deciding on Vance should demonstrate that he wasn’t necessarily a popular choice.

Perhaps Vance already has an inkling about this, because he asked the ex-president, “Well, sir, what the hell did the Mar-a-Lago say? Because this affects my life. I’m very curious what these people you’re talking to are saying about this very important decision.”

Vance didn’t say what the gardener’s advice was to Trump, however. Instead, he wrapped things up awkwardly. “That’s how the country should be led,” the GOP vice presidential candidate said.

Well, that’s a bunch of nothing. The country should be led by a president who is capable of making up his own mind. Instead of one who lies when he finds it convenient, needs constant attention, and needs all of the world’s problems to be about him?

Maybe Vance and Trump deserve each other.

I’ve included the wannabe vice president’s comments in the video below.
