Jen Psaki Once Again Brillantly Shuts Down Peter Doocy Over Ridiculous Question About Afghanistan

Ouch!

President Joe Biden spoke about the exit from Afghanistan on Tuesday, saying, “As of this afternoon, we’ve helped evacuate 70,700 people just since August the 14th. 75,900 people since the end of July,” adding that US forces are on pace to finish operations in Afghanistan by August 31st. The one thing Biden and his predecessor had in common policy-wise was the decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan to end the forever war. We’ve been there for over twenty years, and it’s about time we bring our troops home, and no exit would have gone smoothly.

However, former President Donald Trump has been blasting his successor in unprecedented attacks at his rallies, during interviews, and on social media through his spokesperson Liz Harrington on Twitter to circumvent his ban on the platform. And, of course, right-wing media has been doing the same. They’re acting as if Trump would have done a better job when in fact, the former president didn’t have a plan, and he released 5,000 Taliban prisoners, so there’s that.

Fox News’s Peter Doocy once again tried to throw a gotcha’ question at White House press secretary Jen Psaki about Afghanistan. Doocy said that at least “one of the Afghans evacuated to Qatar has suspected ties to ISIS” so he asked if the August 31 deadline might be too soon, since “mistakes are being made.”

“I would say that this is now on track, Peter, to be the largest airlift in US history,” she said, adding, “so no, I would not say that is anything but a success.” She explained the vetting process, and said she “can’t speak to one individual” but said, “it’s an extensive process.”

Watch:

I think Doocy likes being owned by a strong woman. I’m not being judgemental. I don’t kink-shame. If Doocy likes being beaten up, that’s his choice.
