This is pretty awesome.

If someone were to ask me for a rundown of all the reasons I absolutely love President Biden’s Press Secretary Jen Psaki, well, the list would be almost endless. We’ve covered Jen here at Political Tribune more times than I can count and we’re not even a year into President Joe Biden’s term. She’s powerful yet graceful. She’s informed yet empathetic. She’s matter-of-fact yet understanding and kind. But above all else — she’s not about to take an ounce of shit off anyone. She doesn’t really care who you are.

In the short time that we’ve “known” Psaki, she has shown time and time again that, no matter where a reporter is from, no matter what political side of the fence they lean towards, she won’t be playing favorites or letting anyone get away with any antics.

Over the months, a few Left and Center leaning reporters have caught her ire. But let’s be frank, no one gets the Psaki treatment quite as often or quite like Fox News’s Peter Doocy.

So many times now, we’ve watched President Biden’s Press Secretary essentially mop the floor with the Fox News talking head, as he lobs gotcha questions and half-truths at Psaki, seemingly intent on “catching” her somehow, yet never learning his lesson when she tears him apart.

However, in a recent interview with Mediaite, Psaki revealed what her relationship with the Fox News reporter is like outside of the White House briefing room and I have to say, it was pretty surprising.

“But my engagement with him, people don’t always see this, but outside the briefing room, it is entirely professional and entirely, hopefully, responsive,” Psaki revealed before going on to add, “There’s a performative component from the TV side of the briefing room.”

Speaking with the outlet, the Biden-era Press Secretary went on to say, “I’m not going to be silent if there is misinformation that is being shared because that briefing room is really for the American people so they can get information and know what’s happening.”

On the other side of the coin, Doocy has had similar things to say about his briefing room opponent, recently telling The Washingtonian that it is “a very low-blood-pressure briefing room” and confirmed that Psaki or someone in her office always gets back to him when she promises to do so during a briefing, usually within just a few hours.

Just for fun, the Washington Post has a recap of some of Psaki and Doocy’s best moments.
