Former Vice President and presumed 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his wife Jill left their home for the first time in two months to honor our fallen heroes on Memorial Day, and both of them wore masks.
While President Donald Trump has refused to wear a mask and even went golfing over the weekend, the Bidens have hunkered down at home in accordance with social distancing guidelines as the coronavirus pandemic rages on. Nearly 100,000 Americans are dead because of the virus, and the death toll is only going to rise as many states reopen too prematurely.
Unlike Trump, Biden has been listening to health experts and doing his part to prevent the spread of the virus. On Memorial Day, as Trump continued to refuse to wear a mask and released a phony Memorial Day message, Biden acted like a real president should — by laying a wreath in remembrance of those who died for our country, all while he and his wife wore masks.

Biden enjoyed being out of his house for once and shared a few words about the sacrifice men and women in uniform have made to keep our country free.
Biden says his message to the country on Memorial Day is “Never forget the sacrifices that these men and women made. Never, ever, ever forget.” Asked about leaving home for the first time in two months, he says, “It feels good to be out of my house.” pic.twitter.com/BpXABWKTOt

Dr. Jill and Joe Biden lay a #MemorialDay wreath in Delaware today. This is what a real manly man looks like—not afraid to wear a mask out of fear of looking foolish. Joe Biden is a real man. Thank you @JoeBiden! #HonorTheFallen pic.twitter.com/rBfILneZm2

Joe Biden already did something more significant in 10 seconds on television than Donald Trump has done in 3 1/2 years. He modeled safe behavior by wearing a mask during a pandemic that has killed 100,000 of our brothers and sisters. Thank you, Joe Biden.

VP Biden and Dr. Jill Biden looked like an American President and his wife laying a wreath at the Delaware Memorial for war dead. It felt normal.

For just a brief time, Americans were able to witness some normalcy. And they can have it every day over the next four years if they elect Biden president in November.
