This week, the proverbial mess hit the fan for the already disgraced, scandal-plagued former president, Donald Trump, after Federal Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart ruled to unseal additional portions of the Mar-a-Lago search warrant that were previously redacted and not yet available to the American public. Among those newly unsealed portions of the search warrant was bombshell, never-before-seen, and downright damning photographic and video evidence against Donald J. Trump.
It’s been almost a year since the whole country was rattled by the scandalous FBI search and seizure warrant that went down at disgraced former President Donald Trump’s Florida estate, following Trump’s concerted decision to steal countless top-secret, highly-classified government documents from the White House in the final days of his tumultuous presidency, and his subsequent decision to engage in a months-long battle of lies, deceit, and corruption with the US federal government as the National Archives and others repeatedly attempted to recover the classified materials. It was the very same search warrant that served as the first domino in a running effect that would result in Donald Trump’s recent federal indictment and arrest on 37 federal criminal charges related to obstruction of justice and repeated violations of the Espionage Act, by Garland-appointed DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Now, as the nation reels from the influx of damning evidence against the ex-president, former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance has weighed in on the explosive development with even more bad news for the former guy.
Vance appeared on MSNBC to discuss the arraignment of close Trump aide, cohort, and co-defendant Walt Nauta that took place in Florida today. During the discussion, Vance did not mince her words when she said that the trove of new evidence against the former president and his closest allies and associates, now gleaned from the newly unredacted portions of the Mar-a-Lago search warrant, is “overwhelming” and paints what is essentially an open and shut case against the ex-president and his jockeys.

The former US attorney discussed the developments with MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell, where Vance noted that Nauta and his new lawyer, Sasha Dadan, have an almost insurmountable mountain to climb in defending against this bombshell new evidence that contains not only damning photos of a Mar-a-Lago storage room packed to the brim with approximately 61 boxes of classified government materials but also cold, hard surveillance footage that captured Nauta personally moving those very same boxes out of that very same storage room.
“There will be an enormous amount of pressure on Walt Nauta to cooperate with the government. If he does not, it’s almost a certainty he will go to prison for years. He is part of the obstruction of justice in this case and those penalties are very significant,” Vance explained to the MSNBC host this morning.
“We knew a lot of the information we’re seeing in these newly unredacted bits of the affidavit from the indictment itself, but what this does is confirms our understanding that the evidence prosecutors have compiled here is thorough, detailed, it is overwhelming,” the former US attorney went on to add. “But they will have physical evidence in the form of video showing the number of boxes that were there, boxes that were removed, boxes that attorneys couldn’t search.”
“That means Walter Nauta and Donald Trump tried to conceal them from the government,” she further explained. “This new evidence only adds to the pressure that will mount on Walt Nauta at some point in these proceedings.”
Long story short, Donald Trump and his cronies are screwed.
