This is going to send Trump into a tailspin.

As if the brutal, bombshell January 6th indictment against Donald Trump wasn’t already bad enough, the big guy got even worse new still, as reports have now confirmed that the judge assigned to preside over his case is none other than Tanya Chutkan — an Obama-appointed Washington D.C. federal judge who was once described as “the toughest punisher” and has historically gone hard and tough against January 6th defendants in the courtroom.

On Tuesday of this week, Donald Trump was slammed with what served as his fourth historical criminal indictment, the 3rd to come from Garland-appointed DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith, this time for his efforts to interfere in and overthrow the 2020 presidential election and his role in inciting the deadly violence that took place at the Capitol in his name on that fateful day in January 2021. Trump is scheduled to be arraigned on this indictment tomorrow.

This round of charges comes in addition to the Manhattan District Attorney’s criminal indictment in the notorious Stormy Daniels hush money case, the Justice Department’s 37-count federal indictment in the stolen classified government documents case, and Jack Smith’s subsequent additional charges of obstruction, after it was alleged that Donald Trump had conspired to have incriminating Mar-a-Lago security footage wiped out.

Since the January 6th insurrection took place, Chutkan has become known as quite the trailblazer for her intense handling of cases connected to the Capitol attack and the 2020 presidential election.

In fact, Chutkan has grown to such infamy in this regard, that she was even featured in an Associated Press report with the headline, “In Jan. 6 cases, 1 judge stands out as the toughest punisher.”

The AP’s report noted that “Chutkan has handed out tougher sentences than the department was seeking in seven cases, matched its requests in four others and sent all 11 riot defendants who have come before her behind bars. In the four cases in which prosecutors did not seek jail time, Chutkan gave terms ranging from 14 days to 45 days.”

To make matters even worse for Trump, the Obama-appointed D.C. judge has a long-running history with the ex-president specifically.

Chutkan was responsible for a 2021 ruling against Donald Trump’s desperate attempts to thwart the January 6th House Select Committee’s attempts to obtain documents they needed in their investigation into the Capitol attack and the then-president’s personal role in inciting that deadly violence. In that ruling, Chutkan brutally smacked down Trump’s claim that his executive authority and privilege “exists in perpetuity.”

The D.C. judge then followed up that brutal ruling with a fiery 39-page opinion, in which she wrote that “Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President.”

Good luck with that, Donald.
