After news broke recently that Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s 18-year-old son Tyler Boebert, the father of her grandson, was arrested in Garfield County on a staggering 22 charges — all of which are seemingly in connection to a recent string of trespassing and thefts in the area — both of the teen’s now divorced and estranged parents have released their own separate, yet equally unhinged public responses to their son’s alleged crime spree.
Tyler’s arrest was confirmed in a public Facebook post by the Rifle Police Department and the Boebert teen now faces 22 charges, including 4 counts of criminal possession of a financial device, 3 counts of first-degree criminal auto trespass with intent to commit crime, 4 counts of criminal possession of ID docs, 4 counts of ID theft possession with intent to use, 3 counts of contributing to delinquency of a minor, 3 counts of theft- less than $300, and 1 felony count of conspiracy to commit.
Colorado’s local Westword publication has now released the respective public statements of both Lauren and Jayson Boebert on the matter of their son’s crimes.
Lauren seemingly took a tough love approach to the whole ordeal, stating that her son “should be held accountable for poor decisions just like any other citizen.”
I love my son Tyler, who has been through some very difficult, public challenges for a young man and the subject of attention that he didn’t ask for. It breaks my heart to see my child struggling and in this situation, especially when he has been provided multiple opportunities to get his life on track. I will never give up on him and I will continue to be there for him. As an adult and father, Tyler will take responsibility for his actions and should be held accountable for poor decisions just like any other citizen.”

Jayson, on the other hand, was just as whiney and self-important as ever:
