Lauren Boebert And Sean Hannity Seemed To Get Into A Public Cat-Fight On Live Segment, Fox Host Compared The Congresswoman To A “Liberal”

This is middle school level drama at this point.

Fox talking head Sean Hannity and one of the GOP’s biggest stooges, CO House Rep. Lauren Boebert, both put their immaturity on full display this week, after the pair appeared to get into a bit of a petty cat-fight on live television during a recent segment where Boebert appeared as a guest on Hannity’s show and once again openly refused to throw her support behind the embattled Kevin McCarthy for House Speaker as this whole ridiculous debacle lives to see another day.

Boebert and Hannity did a bit of a public rough and tumble during yesterday’s edition of Hannity after the House issued a vote earlier that evening to adjourn until Thursday when they will make what will be the seventh attempt to choose a Speaker of the US House of Representatives.

Kevin McCarthy has, of course, made a complete and utter ass out of himself throughout this entire process, as he has repeatedly failed to secure the 218 required votes, thanks to 20 House Republicans who refuse to support him. Lauren Boebert is one of those 20.

Hannity kicked off the public spat when he read a quote from Boebert that she had issued earlier in the day, calling on former President Trump to personally tell McCarthy to withdraw his candidacy for House Speaker.

“Let me turn the tables, congresswoman,” the Fox host shot. “Kevin McCarthy has 202–3 votes. Your side has 20. So, if I’m gonna use your words, and your methodology, and your math, isn’t it time for you to pack it in and your side to pack it in considering he has over 200 and you have 20?”

Mediaite reports on the following exchange between Hannity and Boebert:

BOEBERT: Sean, I understand the frustration, I promise you, But he–

HANNITY: I’m not frustrated. You didn’t answer any question.

BOEBERT: And we are hearing–

HANNITY: I’m not frustrated.

BOEBERT: –from many people who are still voting with Kevin McCarthy–

HANNITY: You’re not answering my question.

BOEBERT: –who are very supportive of what we’re doing. And they’re cheering us on. So, there are more for us than there are against us. And they are waiting for Kevin to cave.

HANNITY: Ok, congresswoman–

BOEBERT: You know, the American people are certainly frustrated.

HANNITY: Congresswoman, I’m frustrated by you not answering a direct question. You said to President Trump, you said earlier today that President Trump needs to tell Kevin McCarthy, you don’t have the votes–

HANNITY: Can I finish?

BOEBERT: We need a candidate to elect as speaker of the House.

HANNITY: Can I finish? “You don’t have the votes and it’s time to withdraw.” He has 203. Your side has 20. Why is it time for him to withdraw and not you when he has so many more votes?

BOEBERT: Well, Sean, he needs 218 and he does not have 218.

HANNITY: Neither do you!

As the interview continued, Hannity eventually asked the GOP congresswoman if she and her fellow holdouts would finally give in if they still have not succeeded in securing an alternate candidate with 30 votes by Friday.

“Kevin McCarthy does not have 218 votes,” Boebert snottily responded, prompting Hannity to fire back, “And you have 20. I asked you a very specific question. If by Friday, you don’t have 30–”

Lauren interjected, “I will not withdraw,” before falling into an unhinged rant of barely discernable talking points about spending.

“With all due respect,” Hannity cut her off, “If you only have 30, to be clear, you will not withdraw, but you’re telling Kevin McCarthy and the 203 people that support him to withdraw because they don’t have 218. That’s what you’re saying?”

“Look, it’s obvious by tonight’s motion to adjourn that Kevin McCarthy and his supporters have voter fatigue,” she answered. “And I’m here for it.”

Hannity seemed to opt for a potshot at this point when he fired back, “I asked you a simple question, congresswoman. I feel I’m getting an answer from a liberal.”

“I’m not going to support Kevin McCarthy, Sean,” Lauren spit.
