Controversial Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert and her newly ex-husband Jayson are apparently back on their bullshit yet again after multiple reports have confirmed that the pair got into a public physical altercation at a local restaurant last night, resulting in a disgruntled Jayson Boebert calling the cops on his ex-wife, claiming to be a victim of domestic violence.

Late last night, the anti-Boebert super PAC “American Muckrakers” made a bombshell post on X (formerly Twitter), alleging that the GOP congresswoman had “punched her ex-husband Jayson in the nose 2 times and then continued to beat him up.”

While we are currently unable to confirm every detail of the above social media post, multiple reports have since him the news cycle, confirming that there was, in fact, a public physical altercation between the ex-spouses that resulted in a 911 call.

The Daily Beast spoke with a Boebert aide who confirmed to the publication that Jayson Beoebert called the police to the Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt. The aide asserted that the congresswoman denies any physical domestic violence on her part and that the events depicted across social media are inaccurate and overexaggerated.

However, Jayson Boebert has since spoken with the publication and claimed that the description posted to X by the “American Muckrakers” PAC was accurate and that his ex-wife had “punched” him in the face multiple times at the restaurant.

According to reporting, the altercation between the two former spouses had started earlier in the evening, when Lauren was retrieving one of their sons from Jayson’s home. Jayson attempted to hug Lauren while she was picking up their son from his home, resulting in the congresswoman putting her hands on Jayson’s chest to block the physical advance.

Jayson allegedly later called Lauren and asked to meet up and apologize for his earlier behavior. They agreed to meet at the Miner’s Claim in Silt, CO, per Lauren’s request for a public meeting spot, as she allegedly expected the meeting to become confrontational and she wanted to avoid a “he said/she said,” according to the congresswoman’s aide.

The aide went on to claim that, once inside the restaurant, Jayson became “disrespectful,” “being an asshole,” and getting “lewd” towards Lauren. The congresswoman’s aide claims that Jayson Boebert “made a motion” towards his ex-wife, “to grab her.” It was “an aggressive move, not romantic.”

Lauren claims that she tried to keep her ex-husband back and “put her hand in his face, put her hand on his nose.” Jayson was allegedly outraged by this and phoned 911, claiming to be a “victim of domestic violence.” Lauren allegedly called the non-emergency line and claimed that no domestic violence took place, but that she would be happy to speak to law enforcement officials regarding the incident.

The police did respond to the scene but no arrests were made.

Daily Beast has since spoken with Silt law enforcement who refused to comment on the altercation but did confirm that there was an “active investigation” into the matter.

Jayson told the publication today, “I made a mistake. We both overreacted. I only want what’s best for [the] boys and I still love her very much. We both share some hurt deep down inside … It seems we just keep pushing each other further apart.”

“I want the best for her. It’s probably just best that I remain silent.”

This incident comes just weeks after Lauren and Jayson Boebert were spotted getting romantically physical in a Walmart parking lot directly after leaving the courthouse where their divorce was finalized.
