This week’s bombshell announcement from New York Attorney General Letitia James was a brutally damning one for ex-President Donald Trump, to say the very least. James announced that she has officially filed an all-encompassing civil lawsuit against not only Donald J. Trump and his unscrupulous family business, but against the former president’s eldest three children as well.
As part of the explosive lawsuit, James is now seeking to effectively and permanently ban the Trump family from conducting any of their business in the state of New York, and with that, comes approximately $250 million in various penalties — a price tag that Trump undoubtedly won’t be able to afford, as his finances already swirl the toilet due to legal fees connecting back to the massive Justice Department investigation into his possible violations of multiple laws and regulations, including the Espionage Act, that recently resulted in the FBI search and seizure warrant raid at his Mar-a-Lago compound.
In addition to barring Trump’s business dealings in the state, and the massive financial penalties, James is also seeking to appoint an independent monitor to “oversee compliance, financial reporting, valuations, and disclosures to lenders, insurers, and tax authorities at the Trump Organization” for no less than 5 years.
James is poised to come after the entire crime syndicate family at this point, just like she promised. However, when it comes to Donald J. Trump specifically, one legal expert is theorizing that it may not actually be James’ lawsuit that takes the former president out in the end — but rather his own children, in their desperate attempts to save their own asses, as the expert says that’s the only true way out of this for the Trump spawns who got wrapped up in daddy’s mess.

MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin went public with her theory today that there’s really only one way out of the legal peril that Donald Trump’s kids have found themselves in — flipping on their dear old dad.
Rubin notes that there’s a minuscule chance that Donald Trump could effectively negotiate a settlement with James in his portion of the lawsuit — something James may ultimately welcome and chalk up as a victory. But when it comes to Donald Trump’s eldest three children, Lisa doesn’t see a way out of this for them that doesn’t involve “implicating” their father.
Speaking with MSNBC host Alex Witt, Rubin explained that it could be possible for the Trump kids to scrape out without throwing daddy to the wolves, but it’s not probable.
“How about this scenario, Lisa,” Witt proposed. “Let’s say Donald Trump wanted to fight it, could his kids take a different path? Could they settle on their own?”
“They certainly could,” Rubin answered. “But some of the same patterns that we see with the children are all mixed up in misrepresentations by the former president.”
“So for example, Alex, there are statements of financial conditions that are certified by the former president, and one of the children might attach that statement of financial condition to an application for a loan,” the legal expert went on to explain. It’s hard to see how certain of the adult children at least could accept responsibility and settle with Tish James without implicating their father.”
