Health care is a top issue for American voters, especially amid the raging pandemic. Still, Donald Trump has been promising voters a viable alternative to Obamacare since he was elected into office. Trump has repeatedly promised to release his plan but has come up empty-handed. Again on 60 Minutes, the president told Lesley Stahl on Sunday that he already has a plan during a contentious interview that ended with the president walking out.
Following President Ranty’s now-famous exit from the show, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany appeared while Lesley Stahl waited to see if Trump would return and presented her with a huge book that she claimed was the president’s healthcare plan. The book was massive, as Stahl noted. “I can’t lift it,” Stahl says in the interview.
In a voiceover for the show, Stahl says the book did not contain a health care plan.

Trump released his portion of the interview, possibly so fewer people will watch the show, but the full interview aired Sunday. Trump walked out after he believed that Stahl was mistreating him. On November 3rd, Americans will decide if the president has been mistreating them. Trump wants to eradicate Obamacare in its entirety, even though nearly nine million Americans have been infected with the coronavirus. One of Trump’s most egregious lies is telling the American people that he has a healthcare plan when, in fact, he does not.
Trump cannot blame Lesley Stahl for his lack of a plan, his mountain of lies, or the over two hundred and twenty-five thousand Americans that have died on this president’s watch. Trump surrendered to the coronavirus without putting up a fight, and now, he wants to take away healthcare from countless Americans. That’s not a good look, Mr. President.
