South Carolina is so deep red that with the exception of Mitt Romney in 2016, a Republican has won there in every presidential election since 1964. So, with that said, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham had better fight for his seat as hard as he fights for Donald Trump if he wants to remain in politics.
Things took a sudden turn for Lindsey after The Cook Political Report and Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball downgraded Graham’s seat from a “safe” Republican victory in November to a “likely” Republican win. That’s a massive turn of events from two election forecasts for South Carolina, but not too shocking since Graham isn’t exactly popular.
Graham’s challenger, Jaime Harrison — who served as the chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party from 2013 to 2017 — took a shot at the South Carolina Republican on Twitter to say, “We’re coming for your seat.”
🚨This is HUGE:🚨
Today, the Cook Political Report *and* Crystal Ball updated our race from “Solid Republican” to “Likely Republican.”
Watch out, @LindseyGrahamSC, we’re coming for your seat: https://t.co/AAG2Fy8I0a

“These shifts reflect the groundswell of support Jaime Harrison is seeing every day in South Carolina,” Guy King, a campaign spokesman, said in response to the forecast results, according to Newsweek. “This campaign is building the organization and resources it needs for a tough fight ahead.”
There’s more bad news for Graham: The South Carolina Republican not only lost a major supporter but one that is now backing his Democratic challenger.
The Senate race in South Carolina is set to become by far the most expensive campaign in the state’s history. That should keep Graham up at night, instead of dreaming about his orange-colored pissdaddy. Graham was staunchly against impeaching Donald Trump, after all, what could go wrong? Well, there are now over six thousand COVID-19 cases in the state, and hundreds of South Carolinians have died from the disease that Trump failed to address when he first learned about the looming threat in November.
Graham thinks his focus should be on defending Donald Trump instead of representing his constituents. He should pay a price for that on election day.
