During a time in his life where he’s struggling to make and keep very many friends, Trump has seemingly always found a pal in Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who said of the president back in February, he’s “working very hard to serve the best interests of the country” and even shared a table with Donald at an official state dinner back in July.
But as it turns out, Kraft and Trump aren’t nearly as in sync with each other as POTUS may have originally believed now that leaked audio from a 2017 NFL meeting has revealed that the NFL team owner thinks Trump is “divisive and horrible.”
Kraft’s comments in the audio recording of the meeting came as a result of Trump’s attacks against “son of a bitch” protesters who had kneeled during the national anthem, which he felt was an act of disrespect towards America’s flag.
“I must tell you, I think these dialogues are great,” Kraft can be heard stating in the audio recording, originally shared by TMZ. “But the elephant in the room now, in my opinion, is this kneeling, which every player has a right to do if they feel it’s right. The problem we have is, we have a president that will use that as fodder to do his mission that I don’t feel is in the best interest of the matter.”

“It’s divisive, and it’s horrible. And it’s actually the opposite of what you all are trying to do,” the NFL team owner continued before going on to add that the NFL has “lost the message to America” due to the fact that nearly half the nation would support Trump.
“I just hope one of the things that can come out of here is that we find a way to be unified, and be able to carry through and follow-through,” Kraft stated.
The meeting in question was attended by around 30 people, according to a report from the New York Times, including owners, executives, and players.
I can only imagine that we will soon be subjected to quite the Twitter temper tantrum after this makes its way to Trump.
