Loud Bangs Could Be Heard In Backdrop Of Trump’s Presser, Reports Claim They Were From Sounds Of Protestors Getting Tear-Gassed

Are we all stuck in a badly scripted sci-fi movie?

Donald Trump gave a terrifying news conference on Monday in which he basically called for Martial Law without saying the words Martial Law. This followed Trump’s obsession with labeling the anti-fascist group Antifa as a terrorist organization. Of course, Antifa isn’t an organization, so that begs the question as to if this unhinged president will use his powers to clamp down on peaceful protesters in the wake of  George Floyd’s murder by Minneapolis police officers.

So Trump is going to send the military after American citizens who dare to protest against his presidency, and his handling of Mr. Floyd’s murder that gripped the nation. Imagine if former President Barack Obama had made this announcement. The outrage from conservatives would have been deafening.

Oh, I’m old enough to remember when the United States military had a training exercise that took place in multiple U.S. states, and conservatives, including the Texas governor, thought that Obama was going to confiscate weapons from Americans. That exercise was called Jade Helm, and conservatives lost their shit. Of course, the military quietly came in to conduct their training, then left, and nothing happened. But, right now, something is happening.

Several loud bangs rang out just before Trump took the podium as law enforcement fired tear gas into a crowd of peaceful protesters, according to The Hill. And at the end of Trump’s address, what appears to be explosions could be heard presumably coming from outside the building.

Watch:

I just want to drop this tweet here:

What a great metaphor for Trump’s speech with the explosions ringing out as he spoke. I’m not sure what this president is going to do next; perhaps order every American to drink some Jonestown Kool-Aid. I’m sort of joking here, but the president did suggest injecting disinfectant into the veins of coronavirus patients. A large number of Americans are out of work. Far more than one hundred thousand Americans have died from the COVID-19 pandemic. And now, there are military vehicles on our streets.

November 3rd isn’t far off, Mr. Trump.
