Donald Trump is in a lot of trouble, there is simply no denying that.
While the last few weeks and months have seen a greater focus on the infamous Mar-a-Lago documents scandal and the subsequent Department of Justice investigation into the former president for potential violations of multiple laws and regulations, including the Espionage Act, as well as New York Attorney General Letitia James’ steamrolling probe and civil lawsuit against him family company, the Trump Organization, those are certainly far from the only legal perils the scandal-ridden ex-president is facing these days.
While it’s easy to lose track of all of the ongoing lawsuits, probes, and investigations, the washed-up, one-term, twice-impeached former guy is still very much under heavy scrutiny with regard to the January 6th House Select Committee’s ongoing investigation into the deadly Capitol attack, and Trump’s specific role in inciting his supporters to the deadly violence that took place on that fateful day.
But much like anything else he faces, Trump doesn’t believe he should be in trouble, or under investigation at all, because Trump doesn’t believe he did anything wrong.
Tonight, Trump made his way down to Robstown, TX, for yet another one of his unhinged MAGA-turned-Save-America rallies, where he unsurprisingly wasted no time in railing against the J6 House Committee and their investigation — as news recently broke that the Committee has officially issued the former president a subpoena for various evidence as well as his sworn testimony — and, of course, launching his defense for his mob of rabid, violent supporters.

It’s the same old tired talking points the former guy has been relying on for quite literally more than a year now. But, tonight, something happened during his tirade that undoubtedly swelled the former president’s ego beyond anything we’ve ever seen, while simultaneously leaving those of us over here on the side of common sense with seriously sick stomachs.
As Trump went off on his J6 rant, his rally crowd broke out into a rendition of Star-Spangled Banner, followed by chants of “USA!”
