Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Hearing Is Going Exactly As You’d Expect, As The GOP Stooge Repeatedly Claims “I Don’t Recall” During Her Testimony About Things She’s Literally On Video Saying

Pretty much exactly what we expected.

GOP House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is being… Well… Herself again.

In case you hadn’t heard, the controversial Republican lawmaker is currently undergoing a public hearing that’s challenging her ability to hold office, as the challengers in the case are seeking to disqualify her from running for Congress again, based on the large role she played in the January 6th Capitol insurrection.

And so far, she’s doing what she does best — digging her own hole.

During today’s testimony, the GOP’s most notable stooge sat on the stand and repeatedly answered “I do not recall” to numerous questions posed to her while under oath, despite the fact that a slew of the stuff she was being asked about saying or doing is literally either or video or directly quoted from her in a report.

At one point during today’s hearing, Greene downright refused to answer the question she was being asked, literally stating, “I’m not answering that.”

And then we have all the times she claimed to not remember anything:

At one point during today’s hearing, the challengers confronted Greene by reading out a portion of a CNN article titled, “Marjorie Taylor Greene indicated support for executing prominent Democrats in 2018 and 2019 before running for Congress,” in which Greene was directly quoted. But nevertheless, the Republican lawmaker said, “I don’t recall saying all of this.”

In the article, Greene is quoted saying:

‘She’s a traitor to our country, she’s guilty of treason,'” Greene says in the video, which she posted on Facebook at the time. ‘She took an oath to protect American citizens and uphold our laws. And she gives aid and comfort to our enemies who illegally invade our land. That’s what treason is. And by our law representatives and senators can be kicked out and no longer serve in our government. And it’s, uh, it’s a crime punishable by death is what treason is. Nancy Pelosi is guilty of treason.'”

The co-author of that very CNN article, Andrew Kaczynski, took to Twitter with the receipts:

Once she was confronted with as much, Greene instead did this with her “answer”:

The entirety of Greene’s 3-hour testimony today went exactly like this — Greene would be questioned, she would deny and essentially lie her face off, only to be confronted with the proof and then try to dance around it.

And yet she wonders why they say she’s unfit for office.
