Melania Trump Holds White House Event With Dozens Of Children Without Wearing A Mask: “Taking Public Health Very Seriously I See”

I guess putting dozens of kids at risk is the cool thing to do now?

It’s certainly no secret that Donald Trump hasn’t taken the coronavirus pandemic seriously since day one. I’m sure no one is soon to forget the press conference in which the president all but swore that the cases in this country would be “down to zero” in a matter of no time. However, here we are, neck-deep in the midst of the worst global pandemic this generation will likely ever witness and the United States, under the reign of Donald Trump, quite literally has it worse than any other civilized nation in the world — with more than 170,000 people dead in the U.S. and counting every moment.

But folks, it’s not just Donald that refuses to take a literal deadly pandemic seriously.

Evidently, First Lady Melania is taking quite a few pointers from her husband and blatantly skirting pretty much every recommendation that’s been outlined by multiple public health officials and entities to help slow the spread of the fatal virus.

Today, Melania held the Building the Movement: America’s Youth Celebrate 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage event at the White House — “an exhibit honoring the centennial anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, which gave American women the right to vote.”

Honestly, I could spend hours analyzing that whole ordeal.

But what was most noticeable about the event, was the fact that Melania held this exhibit with approximately 30 or so children and didn’t seem to adhere to a single COVID-19 guideline.

In footage of the event, one or two of the attendees can be seen wearing a mask. However, Melania herself is unsurprisingly mask-free, as is most of the rest of the group, and it doesn’t seem as though social distancing is being practiced in any way.

CNN White House correspondent Kate Bennett reported on the event and pointed out Melania’s mask-free approach, though did note that White House officials are claiming that the group was tested for the virus ahead of the event.

Frankly, testing only goes so far and the lack of proper adherence to guidelines coming directly from the White House is just further proof that even with 170,000+ dead, this administration still isn’t about to take this thing seriously. And Twitter users didn’t disagree:

There’s just no two ways about it — this country will never be free from the grips of this virus nor the elitist idea that only certain people deserve access to testing until the White House is fumigated of the worst thing that’s ever happened to the United States.
