First Lady Melania Trump was reportedly keeping track of everything that was written about her so much so that she had Google alerts set up, according to what Stephanie Grisham details in her forthcoming book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now.” Grisham served as Melania Trump’s former chief of staff and the former president’s White House press secretary, so she knows where the bodies are buried. CNN obtained an excerpt that explains how much effort the former first lady put into tracking what was written about her.
“Melania Trump was a fan of reading every little thing written about her, with consistency and frequency. “Like her husband and all of his kids, Mrs. Trump scrutinized her press clippings like an expert architect focusing on blueprints,” writes Grisham, according to CNN. “No detail was overlooked, nothing missed her eye. She had Google alerts set up for herself and saw everything.”
“As her spokeswoman, Grisham was on the receiving end of multiple texts per day from the first lady, many regarding how to respond — or not respond, more accurately — to a global news media obsessed with understanding the mysterious and elusive first lady,” the outlet reports.
That’s not difficult to believe since Melania Trump’s attorney sent out letters to various journalists over a story in 2017. Now, I’m not saying I was one of the writers that got that letter (cough cough), but they were sent out to quite a few people. In the end, because bloggers and journalists couldn’t defend themselves against the Trump machine, the stories went bye-bye. Although one guy stuck it out, Melania prevailed in court. The lawsuit against Webster Tarpley, who reported on rumors that I won’t get into here because I don’t want to be sued, was for $150 million. Tarpley agreed to pay a “substantial sum” and apologized to Melania Trump and her family.

My point is that Grisham’s account rings true after remembering her war against political writers. However, if Melania didn’t want negative stories about her out there, then perhaps she shouldn’t have worn a jacket that reads, “I really don’t care, do u?” to McAllen, Texas – one of the epicenters of the family separation crisis. Just a thought.
