Every few months, Washington gets another story that everyone suddenly can’t stop talking about. This week’s arrived through TikTok, bringing alleged White House stories and plenty of questions that still don’t have clear answers.
The claims come from Juliet the Band frontwoman Emily Weis, who says her older sister’s friend worked as Melania Trump’s personal assistant during Donald Trump’s first term. According to Weis, the former assistant signed a nondisclosure agreement covering official work, but not personal observations.
That matters because none of what followed has been independently verified.
Even so, one story in particular has spread widely across social media.

According to Weis, the former assistant claimed Barron Trump often tried to get his father’s attention while Donald Trump was working in the Oval Office.
“He’ll go tap on the window of the Oval Office and try to get him to come outside and spend time with him,” the former assistant allegedly said, according to Weis. “It’s actually really sad, he’s kind of a sad kid.”
Weis said those weren’t the only stories her source shared.
According to her account, the former assistant described Barron as “generally sad and lonely,” saying he rarely had other children over to visit and spent much of his time with Secret Service agents assigned to protect him. Weis also said the former assistant claimed Barron tried to hide his Slovenian accent but “it hasn’t been successful.”

None of those alleged conversations have been confirmed by Barron Trump, Melania Trump, the White House, or anyone else with firsthand knowledge.
That hasn’t stopped people online from debating them.
The renewed interest also comes as Barron has found himself back in the headlines for other reasons. Several outlets recently reported that his premium lifestyle energy drink venture struggled to gain traction, adding another round of internet discussion to an already unusual year for the youngest Trump.
Through it all, Barron has remained largely out of public view. Melania Trump has long described herself as fiercely protective of her son and has generally kept him away from public political life whenever possible. Since Donald Trump’s return to the White House, Barron has appeared only occasionally at public events, making him one of the most private members of the Trump family.
That privacy may also explain why stories like this travel so far, so fast. With so few public appearances or interviews, almost any claim about Barron is bound to attract curiosity.
