South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is a Trump loyalist, but he wasn’t dedicated to the former president before being elected in 2016. People have speculated that former President Donald Trump must have something on Lindsey, the South Carolina Republican that once called Trump “a race-baiting, xenophobic religious bigot,” among other things. He also once said that Joe Biden is “as good a man as God ever created.” And now Lindsey’s head is placed firmly up the twice-impeached one-term president’s ass. Maybe he’s doing it for the perks he gets for being in Donald’s company.
In Stephanie Grisham’s new book, I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw at the Trump White House,” she dubs Graham as “Senator Freeloader.” She also noted how the South Carolina Republican flip flops on his perception of the former president. Grisham went on to call Graham “one of the weirder ones, and that’s saying something.”
“He seemed almost schizophrenic,” Grisham writes. “Some days he would be one of Trump’s most vigorous defenders; other days he was a harsh critic.”
Lindsey appears to be into “freebies.”

“And Lindsey Graham? Well, it struck me he was using Trump to mop up the freebies like there was no tomorrow (seems that he still is),” she writes. “He would show up at Mar-a-Lago or Bedminster to play free rounds of golf, stuff his face with free food and hang out with Trump and his celebrity pals.”
Grisham notes at one point that Graham kicked a White House staffer out of Bedminster “so he could take her room.”
“Senator Freeloader was sitting at a table by the pool, a big grin on his face, lapping up the goodies he was getting like some potentate,” Grisham writes. “He said to me with a creepy little smile, ‘Isn’t this great? Man, this is the life.'”
‘I remember thinking, “Yes, it is, but it’s not your life — it’s the president’s life,” she wrote. “There was something so gross and tacky about his behavior during that trip that the image never left me.”

And so it is written, Lindsey Graham shall now be referred to as Senator Freeloader from here on out. And while Trump was trying (he’s still trying) to destroy democracy, at least Lindsey got some freebies out of the deal.
