Former attorney and fixer for Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, said that his lawyers showed up at former Attorney General Bill Barr’s house to serve him with a lawsuit claiming that the former President retaliated against him by sending him back to prison.
“This morning, I was notified by my attorneys @lauferlaw @NYadvocateJKL that the process server successfully effectuated service on #BillBarr while he was vacationing in Virginia. This is the look they got. Happy New Year a**hole!” Cohen wrote on Twitter, along with a photo of Barr looking sad.

According to Courthouse News, Cohen filed suit against the twice-impeached one-term President, Barr, and federal prison officials for putting a gag order on him and sending him back to jail after Cohen criticized Trump and promoted his tell-all book while he was under home confinement.

Once Cohen was no longer in prison, he took to social media in June and July of 2020 to plug his upcoming book about working with the former President. Just one week after he used the hashtag #WillSpeakSoon, Cohen “was hit with a gag order banning him from speaking to the media or posting on social media,” according to the outlet.
“Cohen asked for clarification from the Federal Location Monitoring Program, and, after an hour and a half in the agency’s waiting room, three U.S. marshals came in with an order to remand Cohen on the basis that he had failed to agree to the terms of his location monitoring,” the outlet reports.
“Cohen spent the next 16 days in solitary confinement back at Otisville before U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein granted him a preliminary injunction, agreeing that the incarceration was retaliatory,” the report adds.
So now, Cohen is suing while taking a victory lap on Twitter. No one doubts that Trump retaliated against Cohen for writing the tell-all book. Trump cannot handle even the slightest bit of criticism. Everything that goes around comes around.
