Mike Pence Finally Responds To The Fly Who Lit Up Social Media During Vice Presidential Debate

A fly landed on Vice President Mike Pence’s lustrous, well-manicured hair white hair midway through the vice-presidential debate on Wednesday night with Sen. Kamala Harris. The fly decided it wouldn’t leave its spot on TV and remained there for over two minutes. The fly became a hit, and it was as if it metaphorically-speaking; it attached itself to Mike Pence’s head to feast on the decomposing body of the Republican party. And there was a lot to feast on considering the state of the GOP with Donald J. Trump — who recently contracted COVID-19 by his own reckless behavior — at the helm.

And Trump has been holding super-spreader rallies, willing to let other Americans contract the disease as well. And we don’t even know if Trump was contagious when he debated Democratic nominee Joe Biden. So, the fly belonged on Mike Pence’s head, and it enjoyed the spotlight for over two glorious minutes.

Well, Pence heard about it and responded. After all, late-night TV hosts seized the moment, and fake fly accounts popped up on Twitter. Memes were made, and jokes were told.

According to Politico, Pence said Monday that he learned after the debate from his children that a fly had landed on his head during last week’s debate.

“They’re the ones that told me. I didn’t know he was there,” Pence said on Fox News during an interview. “They all told me, ‘Dad, you did OK,’” he continued. “But they did tell me about the fly. And it was a good laugh for all of us.”

Yeah, dude, we laughed, too.

According to a POLITICO/Morning Consult flash poll conducted last Thursday, more debate watchers and non-watchers alike — 62 percent — heard or read about the fly than any other moment of the debate.

Oddly, Pence has never noticed that he works for a parasitic cockroach, either. To Pence, Trump is doing a fine job even though over two hundred and fifteen thousand Americans are dead on his watch. And Pence hasn’t noticed the selfish maggots in the Trump administration that have been guilty of spreading the disease. Pence is the head of the White House coronavirus task force. So, not noticing another creepy-crawly creature or the hundreds of thousands of dead bodies stacked up behind him isn’t too surprising. And why is the fly a “he” exactly? I’m curious about that for some reason.
