Incumbent Alabama Republican House Rep. Mo Brooks has been beefing with ex-President Donald Trump for some time now. But folks, mo is officially pissed, and he’s letting the whole wide world know it.
Trump and Brooks have had what you might call an on-again-off-again relationship over the last few months after the one-term, twice-impeached, washed-up former guy publicly endorsed the staunch anti-abortion GOP congressman — only to snatch that endorsement right back a handful of weeks later.
Brooks was angry enough over Donald’s public and humiliating “un-endorsement” that truly boiled down to nothing more than Trump’s sore ego after Mo publicly admitted that there was no path to reinstating Donald Trump into the White House and instead encouraged his party to “Put that behind you.”
However, given that the washed-up “kingmaker” of the GOP wasn’t seeming to throw his support behind anyone else directly following the nasty public breakup, it seemed Mo was desperate enough to try to appeal to Trump once more as primaries inched closer and closer. Back at the beginning of this month, the incumbent AL House Rep. posted this desperate plea, which appears to have since been deleted, to Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social:

However, the proverbial you-know-what finally hit the fan today, when Brooks went into full-on attack mode against the former guy in an interview with a local reporter, after Trump publicly threw his weight behind Mo’s opponent, Katie Britt.
Kyle Whitmire, with the Birmingham News, reported:
In 2016, Mo Brooks said Donald Trump wasn’t to be trusted — before he gave his loyalty over to the reality TV president.
Six years later, he’s learned that lesson the hard way, having carried the former president’s MAGA agenda to the brink of insurrection and being unceremoniously dumped when he wouldn’t or couldn’t take it any further.
‘It’s quite clear that Donald Trump has no loyalty to anyone or anything but himself,’ Brooks told me this week.”
Now, don’t think for a second that the former president didn’t rip Brooks equally as hard in his official public endorsement of Britt last week:
[Brooks] foolishly started listening to the wrong consultants and not to the people, and his 54-point lead evaporated overnight. Likewise, his words caused me to withdraw my Endorsement, and Mo has been wanting it back ever since—but I cannot give it to him!
Katie Britt, on the other hand, is a fearless America First Warrior. The opposition says Katie is close to Mitch McConnell, but actually, she is not…”
But c’mon, Trump. Katie hasn’t even called the election “Stolen”!!!
