Recently, the bombshell news broke that controversial Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greeneโ€™s 27-year marriage is effectively over, after her husband, 50-year-old Perry Greene, officially filed for divorce from the Republican Partyโ€™s biggest stooge.

According to legal documents obtained and reviewed by the popular tabloid, TMZ, 50-year-old Perry Greene mosied his way on up to the courthouse on Tuesday of this week, where he officially filed for divorce from his wife, 48-year-old Marjorie Taylor Greene, effectively beginning the process of dissolving their marriage that last just short of three decades.

Marjorie and Perry were married in August of 1995, while the to-be-lawmaker was still in college at the University of Georgia. Perry shares three children with the controversial, ultra Right-wing, QAnon congresswoman, Lauren, Taylor, and Derek, all of whom are now over the age of 18.

Thus far, no details have been made public in regard to the reason for the coupleโ€™s split. However, in the legal documents obtained and reviewed by TMZ Marjorieโ€™s husband alleges that the pair had previously been separated for an undisclosed amount of time. Perry is now seeking a full dissolution of the marriage and is calling on the court to divvy up both their assets and their debts equally between the two of them.

However, according to explosive reporting from The New Yorkerโ€˜s Charles Bethea, the sordid details of Marjorie and Perry Greeneโ€™s โ€œirretrievably brokenโ€ marriage may go public sooner than we thought, as Bethea now reports that MTGโ€™s soon-to-be ex-husband has apparently had a change of heart and has now withdrawn his motion to put the coupleโ€™s divorce proceedings under seal โ€” a move that could ultimately publicize the โ€œwhyโ€ behind the dissolution of the Greenesโ€™ marriage.

When Perry Greeneโ€™s decision to file for divorce originally went public, he reportedly requested that the proceedings remain under seal in an effort to prevent potentially โ€œnegativeโ€ personal information from going public. But now it seems something has changed his mind.

Also in the original filing, the Greenesโ€™ marriage is described as โ€œirretrievably brokenโ€ and makes note of the fact that the couple of almost 3 decades had been separated for some time prior to Perryโ€™s decision to file for divorce โ€” although the filing does stress their claim that the split is in amicable one.

Congresswoman Greene has since released a statement on the news, saying, โ€œMarriage is a wonderful thing and Iโ€™m a firm believer in it. Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect. Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids. He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom. Iโ€™ll always be grateful for how great of a dad he is to our children.โ€

She went on to echo Perryโ€™s calls for privacy amid their divorce, stating, โ€œThis is a private and personal matter and I ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.โ€

Amid their divorce proceedings, details of Marjorieโ€™s multiple torrid affairs have surfaced.
