“Never Fear,” Trump Wants Americans To Know He Will Be Holding Rallies Again, Even Though Experts Said To Wait Until 2021

Donald Trump hasn’t been one to adhere to the guidelines being set by his own government throughout this entire pandemic ordeal — i.e. refusing to stop giving handshakes, refusing to wear a mask, even when those things are strongly recommended by the Centers for Disease Control as well as the World Health Organization.

And now it seems he’ll be following his own special just-for-Trump guidelines once against when it comes to his MAGA rallies.

Trump has been turning these daily Coronavirus Task Force briefings of his into miniature makeshift campaign rallies for quite some time now, now that he’s no longer allowed to hold the real ones in the midst of a global pandemic that’s at least a good 75 percent his fault.

But it seems those White House reporters (in lieu of a crowd full of supporters with the collective IQ and number of teeth as a shoe size) aren’t quite hitting the spot for Donald and he’s bound and determined to get those rallies of his back on track before the year is over — despite numerous, dire warnings from multiple officials saying just how bad an idea that really is.

Trump 2020 communications director Tim Murtaugh told supporters during a recent online campaign event: “We will get back to those rallies. Never fear, the president is certain that we’re going to be back out there speaking directly to the American people.”

The report from ABC News goes on to note that sources say behind closed doors, Trump and his team have discussed holding rallies in low-risk states and have even gone so far as to try to figure out how to implement social distancing during the events.

In audio obtained by ABC of Trump’s recent call with governors, the president appeared to be fired up about bringing crowds back into stadiums for sporting events, stating, “You’ll have maybe where you’ll be seated — we talked about this with [Dr. Fauci] — where you’ll have seats where every three or four seats you have empty, you’ll have some fill in, and then ultimately we’ll have it fill in as the virus is gone.”

It’s unclear at this point exactly when Trump hopes to reignite his rallies, but based on his desire to pack sports stadiums ASAP, we can pretty much assume they’ll be soon than later.
