New Book Claims A “Super Aggressive” Endorsement Meeting Between Donald Trump And Brian Kemp Went Terribly Sour, Prompting The Ex-President To Snap On The GA Governor: “Why Are You Even Here?!”

Well, that took a hard left turn.

A new Business Insider report covering Greg Bluestein’s book “FLIPPED: How Georgia Turned Purple and Broke the Monopoly on Republican Power,” has exposed the details of an allegedly tense, “aggressive” meeting between former President Donald Trump and Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp that allegedly soured to the point of Trump snapping at the state leader when he realized Kemp had already made his choice on who he was going to support for an open US Senate seat in the state.

According to the book, Kemp went to the White House for a meeting with Trump regarding the soon-to-open Senate seat when now-former GOP Senator Johnny Isakson retired. The report claims that Trump already had his heart set on Kemp throwing his support behind Rep. Doug Collins, who had already established himself as a staunch Trump defender. However, it turned out that Kemp and Trump weren’t quite on the same page after all, as the GA governor had allegedly already settled on endorsing wealthy businesswoman Kelly Loeffler and failed to run it by the then-president first.

This, of course, sent Trump’s head spinning.

“Kemp was tasked with selecting a replacement, and he quickly zeroed in on Loeffler for several reasons, largely due to her rural roots, conservatism, and the governor’s belief that she could attract female voters to the GOP in the fast-growing Atlanta suburbs. Before the group left to meet with Trump in Washington, the governor settled on Loeffler for the appointment, bypassing the conservative favorite, Rep. Doug Collins,” Insider reports.

The book explains that Donald Trump showed up for the meeting under the full assumption that Kemp was there to seek his counsel and opinion on the open seat and who he thought should fill it, only to quickly find out, much to his chagrin, that Kemp thought Loeffler to be a rising “star.”

“I haven’t heard a lot from you — is your mind made up?” Trump allegedly asked the GA governor, leading Kemp to admit that he had already made up his mind on the endorsement.

“In an instant, the mood soured. Kemp made a tactical error by not giving Trump reason to believe he had input,” Bluestein writes in the book. This prompted Trump to snap at the Georgia official, “If you already made the decision… then why are you even here?!”

Insider’s report notes, “Bluestein wrote that the rest of the discussion was described by individuals with knowledge of the talk as a ‘full-throated confrontation’ and a ‘super-aggressive job interview.'”

You’d think these sycophantic halfwits would know how things work with Donald Trump by now.
