New Book Reveals Production Team Of The Apprentice Had To Edit Show To Not Make Trump ‘Look Like A Complete Moron’

This must have been a tough task.

As if we didn’t already know that Donald Trump is as dumb as a stump (and possibly dumber), the producers of his reality TV Show The Apprentice, say they had to hustle and edit the show to make him appear less stupid. It says a lot about a person when their scummy TV show has to be edited to polish their image.

“Our job then was to reverse-engineer the show and to make him not look like a complete moron,” one member of the production crew told the authors of the new book Lucky Loser, New York Times journalists Russ Buettner and Susanne Craig, The Independent reports.

The show’s producers often had to edit the show to make the person Trump was firing look bad, even if they performed well at doing the required tasks.

According to Buettner, one firing in particular that shocked everyone was that of David Gould, a physician with an MBA.

In an interview with CNN Tuesday night, he said Gould was a “really amazing guy who a lot of the producers thought was going to win that whole series, that season. He would just run the whole gauntlet. But Trump fired him the very first episode.”

I’m sure Trump did this because Trump doesn’t like “really amazing” guys because they may take all the attention away from him. He’s always been this way. Perhaps the producers should have expected this, but according to Buettner it threw everyone for a loop.

“And people in the control and producers are like, ‘Oh, my God, what do we do with this now? But they had this other moment because it was entertainment, not reality, that ‘oh my gosh, this is really great because this is so unpredictable,’” Buettner said. “So that quality that was really bad for him in business was solid gold on the show. Then they would just re-edit everything.”

I usually hate reality TV shows and avoided The Apprentice like the plague. Because I already disliked Donald Trump, who has been a conman from the word go. I believe shows like this make people dumber because they divert our attention from things that are actually important.

Y’know, like climate change, and the upcoming lack of fresh water we’re going to face because of climate change. The United Nations reminds us these two issues are inextricably linked but hey isn’t Omarosa pretty? This is, after all, a catastrophe that’s already in the making, but let’s watch something that numbs our minds.

And because Trump is such a dim bulb, this show was obviously a huge problem for the producers, so I have to ask, was it really worth it for them, money aside?

Anything that glorifies this overhyped manbaby should be avoided at all costs.

But that’s just my opinion.

The authors also discussed some of Trump’s weirder habits, like using the name “John Barron” to address the media as a way to make himself look better. And to trick people into believing he was wealthier than he really was, so he could appear on the Forbes rich list.

“He even named his son Barron,” Craig noted, adding that Trump began doing this right out of college when he was working with his father Fred Trump.

“We went back to old newspapers and we found the name John Barron, where there [were] classified ads where he would be selling things and it went back to the exchange number for the Trump house. So it was Donald,” Craig said. “He was using it as a pseudonym.”

He even employed the name when he was hiring maintenance workers and also did this when he sold his late brother, Fred Trump Jr.’s boat.

“So it was just this crazy origin story of John Barron that we’ve always wondered where it came from,” Craig told CNN. “And we found it in the classified ads of old newspapers in New York.”

I’m thinking his youngest son, Barron, should feel insulted by this. He’s apparently pretty sharp but the same can’t be said for his father.

Better be quiet Donald. Your stupid is showing.
