More and more details are beginning to come to light after the horrifying news broke this morning that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco home was broken into by an assailant who “violently assaulted” her husband Paul.

As it stands, a motive for the violent attack has not yet been confirmed or publicly released, but authorities have confirmed that the suspect has been apprehended and remains in police custody. Paul Pelosi was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he received medical treatment for his injuries, and is expected to make a full recovery from the violent physical attack. House Speaker Pelosi was not at the San Francisco home at the time of the invasion, according to reports.

However, despite no official motive behind the violent attack, the driving force behind the suspect’s decision to invade the House Speaker’s home and assault her husband is becoming more and more clear — and it’s frankly exactly what we’ve been thinking since the moment the news broke.

Sources have told the Associated Press that the assailant “specifically targeted” the House Speaker’s home that she shares with her husband Paul.

The matter got worse still, as reports are now claiming that, according to an individual who has been briefed on the violent attack, the assailant was specifically in search of the Democratic Speaker of the House, who was in Washington for work at the time of the invasion and attack.

According to the reports, the unidentified suspect approached Paul with a hammer and screamed, “Where is Nancy, where is Nancy?”

Frankly, it’s not difficult to glean what’s going on here.
