Look, as much as I hate it, I’ll be the first to admit that Donald Trump still has a pretty big base of supporters, many of which attended his recent CPAC speech in Dallas, Texas. However, one individual who was notably absent from the former president’s big public appearance — his favorite daughter Ivanka.
Since Donald’s less-than-flattering departure from the White House earlier this year, and his subsequent refusal to accept that he lost in a free and fair election, multiple reports have indicated that daddy’s little princess and her husband Jared Kushner have been attempting to distance themselves from the ex-president in a last-ditch effort to save what’s left of their fragile reputation. During Trump’s CPAC appearance, it seems Jared and Ivanka were away for a midsummer vacation in Aspen, Colorado, and according to a new report from Yahoo! News their getaway may actually just be yet another attempt to get away from Ivanka’s father.
A source for the Aspen Daily News reportedly spotted the couple out and about and reported that Jared and Ivanka stayed at Wildcat Ranch and even visited the exclusive, members-only Caribou Club.
Yahoo! notes that it’s a bit odd for the pair to be vacationing in the area with the ski season well over, but goes on to note:
Perhaps that is the point, though. Since A-listers are summering in the Hamptons or Malibu, the paparazzi aren’t looking for high-profile political figures in Aspen, which leaves Ivanka and Kushner far from prying eyes. And that’s especially important when CPAC is going on. In the past, both Ivanka and Kushner were always by the president’s side during his time in the White House. Since they left Washington, D.C., the couple has taken big strides to keep the focus on their young family and Kushner’s publishing deal.”

The fact of the matter is, there’s a damn good chance that Ivanka is up next on the Manhattan DA’s chopping block and it seems to me that’s she just trying to run away from it all for as long as she can.
