Donald Trump and the governor of his home state of New York, Andrew Cuomo have never really seen eye to eye — duking it out over Trump’s favorite platform for his grievances, Twitter, on more than one occasion. After spending his entire life, all the way to his birth in New York City, The New York Times was the first to report today, after obtaining documents filed with the Palm Beach County Circuit Court, that Trump filed a “declaration of domicile” declaring that Manhattan was no longer his home — in addition to paperwork filed by Melania that named the family’s Mar-a-Lago estate as their main residence.

One unnamed source has revealed to the Times that Trump’s motivation for the change in residency is mostly motivated by taxes, as Florida does not have a state income or inheritance tax.
But whatever his reasoning may be, I certainly don’t think the state of New York is going to cry any tears over his departure.
