Following several months of disappointment and backlash among the American people, and even some of his own prosecutors, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is finally, officially breathing down Donald Trump’s neck — and he’s coming after those closest to the scandal-ridden former president in the process.
In recent weeks, a handful of bombshell revelations have come out from the Manhattan DA’s ongoing investigation into the infamous “hush money” payments made to Donald’s alleged former affair partner, adult film star Stormy Daniels, by Trump’s then-personal attorney and self-described “fixer” Michael Cohen, on Donald’s behalf. The $130,000 payment was reportedly made to Daniels in exchange for her silence about her alleged affair with the then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, just ahead of the 2016 election that Donald would go on to win.
In recent weeks, multiple individuals with connections to Trump World have reportedly made appearances before prosecutors with Bragg’s office, including Michael Cohen and Donald’s own former strategist and White House adviser Kellyanne Conway.
Now, the New York Times has confirmed yet another appearance before Manhattan DA investigators, by yet another close, key Trump insider, in connection to the ongoing investigation into Donald Trump’s alleged crimes.

According to the Times, former longtime Trump aide Hope Hicks has now officially made an appearance before prosecutors with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.
Hicks began her time with Trump in a position at Donald’s family company and eventually followed him through his 2016 presidential campaign and on into the White House in 2017. Hope very closely worked with the now ex-president at the same point in time that the alleged hush money payments were made to Stormy Daniels, as well as one other woman that Trump had allegedly engaged in an affair with.
Cohen has testified on multiple occasions that Donald Trump personally ordered the then-attorney to make the hush money payments just 2 months before the 2016 presidential election. Trump then reimbursed Cohen those hundreds of thousands of dollars through a series of payments stretched out over several months, meant to make the transactions look as though they were retainer fees in exchange for Cohen’s legal representation services.
Ultimately, Cohen was arrested, indicted, and jailed on multiple financial crimes, including violations of campaign finances laws, in connection with the infamous hush money scheme. By contrast, Donald Trump has yet to be held personally accountable for those crimes.
Following the spotting of Hicks meeting with the Manhattan DA’s office, the Times reports that she is the 7th witness to meet with prosecutors in Bragg’s office in a matter of just a few weeks. The publication notes that they cannot verify whether Hope Hicks testified before the grand jury, however, she was one of several former Trump staffers to appear before the January 6th House Select Committee in their investigation into Donald Trump’s role in inciting the deadly attack on the Capitol.
