Just earlier today, we reported on the bombshell news that prosecutors working under Garland-appointed DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith are lighting a new fire under the infamous Justice Department stolen document investigation into scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump, as CNN now reports that investigators have set their sights on the handling of surveillance footage within Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound in Palm Beach, FL, following a subpoena issued against the Trump Organization for the security footage last summer.
This development included the bombshell confirmation that the Trump Organization’s top two security goons are expected to appear before the grand jury in the case and essentially spill the beans on the ex-president’s company security and surveillance secrets, according to sources familiar with the ongoing DOJ document investigation.
Frankly, you would think that would be enough bad news for one day, for one person.
But lo and behold, it just keeps getting worse for the scandal-ridden ex-president.

According to explosive new reporting from the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman tonight, things have gotten worse still for the ex-president as the Times confirms that Justice Department prosecutors “have obtained the confidential cooperation” of an individual who worked directly for Donald J. Trump at his Mar-a-Lago compound in Palm Beach, FL, as part of their ongoing effort to determine whether Trump ordered the removal of boxes containing classified government documents from a storage room at the golf resort, as the federal government was actively attempting to recover the materials from the disgraced former president.
Haberman reports for the Times:
Through a wave of new subpoenas and grand jury testimony, the Justice Department is moving aggressively to develop a fuller picture of how the documents Mr. Trump took with him from the White House were stored, who had access to them, how the security camera system at Mar-a-Lago works and what Mr. Trump told aides and his lawyers about what material he had and where it was, the people said.
At the heart of the inquiry is whether Mr. Trump sought to hide some documents after the Justice Department issued a subpoena last May demanding their return.
The existence of an insider witness, whose identity has not been disclosed, could be a significant step in the investigation, which is being overseen by Jack Smith, the special counsel appointed by Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. The witness is said to have provided investigators with a picture of the storage room where the material had been held. Little else is known about what prosecutors might have learned from the witness or when the witness first began to provide information to the prosecutors.”
Good luck getting out of this one, Trump.
