A recent revelation that came out of the January 6th House Select Committee amid their explosive public hearings apparently left many a Republican rather miffed over the way Donald Trumpโs campaign spent a lot of the cash they received through donations and fundraising.
Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a prominent member of the January 6th House Panel thatโs currently investigating the deadly Capitol attack, sat for an interview with CNNโs Jake Tapper, where she revealed that Donald Trump Jr.โs girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, allegedly raked in a whopping $60,000 payday for the โfor two and a half minutesโ of introduction she gave for her own significant other during Donald Trumpโs infamous January 6th, 2021 โStop the Stealโ rally outside the Capitol building, just hours before Trumpโs rabid supporters would go on to violently storm the nationโs Capitol with Congress inside, in a desperate attempt to stop the certification of the Electoral College votes in Joe Bidenโs favor.
New York Times correspondent Maggie Haberman made an appearance on CNNโs New Day and explained to anchor John Berman that the people in โTrump Worldโ were left pretty aggravated over Guilfoyleโs fat paycheck for essentially doing next to nothing.
According to Haberman, Trump insiders passed around the viral clip of Lofgrenโs revelation and complained on behalf of the โretireesโ who funded Kimโs fat payday for introducing her own boyfriend through their donations to Donald Trumpโs campaign โ though Maggie pointed out that Trumpโs closest insiders noted that they shouldnโt even be surprised.

โThe committee has found information that Kimberly Guilfoyle was paid $60,000 to speak at the rally on January 6, $60,000 for a speech that was, what, 3 minutes?โ Berman questioned the NYT correspondent.
โIf that,โ Haberman replied.
โIf that, 3 minutes long. And what have you heard over the last several hours since that revelation about how people in Trumpworld feel about this?โ the CNN anchor pressed.
Haberman explained, โSo I want to say two things about that. People in Trumpworld are sharing that clip. They are aghast that this is the amount of money that she got for a speech to introduce her boyfriend. They couldnโt really get over it, I had one former adviser say to me, essentially, these were folks who were raising money in small amounts from retirees, telling them this was going to be some legal fight that didnโt really happen. And instead, Kimberly Guilfoyle is getting paid. But this is the whole ecosystem. So itโs fine that some people are upset about this. But this is, thereโs some level of this that often goes on around Trump, and it shouldnโt be a surprise to anyone.โ
